If it's a choice that gives an advantage then everyone will make the same choice. Doesnt mean the option being chosen is better for the game though.

"Beidat honored the pact, though Mancy wouldn't take off Doryani’s prototype."
did I miss something are they removing xp loss on death?

Attempting pinnacle bosses no longer has the xp death tax, everywhere else still has it.

Taking xp away is the same as taking your time away, aka, devs deciding your time is worthless.

It's a vile design by people who really should either get with the times or move on.

I'm guessing that's somewhat the point a lot folks make about the death penalty in this game.

'If *** wanted to be punished for dying'........
They would play Hardcore...

Shrug..???
Are you saying you want no penalty for dying? That sounds a bit boring and will lead to there being no reason at all to invest in defense. There is also the ladder to consider as the top players are often reaching 100 deathless.

If they were to make a change, then I'd make the Omen of Amelioration twice as rare but grant 100% reduced exp penalty. For the low low price of 10 divine, you can save your precious exp.

I just thought of this, but they should make an Omen that does not consume a revive on death.
The price of not punishing experience is not being able to gain experience, so I'd rather continue to be punished, that's what I'm trying to say.

The campaign trains you to fight and die against bosses to learn how their mechanics work.

In end game all of a sudden dying silently now costs 1/10th of your level, disincentivising players from gambling their progress away just to try learn how the boss works.

TBH they should completely remove all exp loss from the game. It adds nothing to the game, it just deletes your time spent.
