Linking xbox account

I linked my microsoft account where I have bought my path of exile, then today I wanted to play in my pc, hence I created an account with my email and linked the accounts. But even thought I'm not being able to play in the pc. What should I do?

If you’re talking about Path of Exile 2, you need to buy the game on each platform.

Dont do that, i did that today linking my Xbox on PC to try out and LOST my Xbox account, all work is just GONE! I sent a message to support but not sure how long it will take, but this is driving me crazy.. i actually made the decision to keep playing this and not go to the D4 new season starting today, and this happened.. perhaps its a sign.. i just started this game and loved it, but I just cannot start over. in short, DO NOT LINK the accounts!

if all your characters are gone make a new character then log out to character select and then at the top right should be a drop down menu to switch sub-accounts when you linked it picked the new one just switch to the other one and you should have your stuff hope this helps

I created a caracter, logged out and was on the screen where you select characters and there was no drop down, not sure if I mentioned but I am on POE2 (not sure if makes a difference). The only options I had was to select the recently created one, create a new one and options. on the right side it was telling me to hit A with second controller to join. that is all I saw, perhaps my issue is deeper for some reason....
I am hoping support will answer quickly enough, I appreciate your help!

Edit: Maybe its in a different spot on xbox but on pc should be at the top

Edit 2: I just helped someone with the same issues they said they hit "R" to bring that menu up try clicking the right stick in R3 for this or RT or RB
