Is anyone still playing Gemling?

Just wondering if anyone is having any luck with Gemling in the new league? I took one to level 72 but I was really having to work to make it to the maps... ended up speeding to level 80 with a Huntress but I hate the Huntress hype... I feel like a Quillvolley Spiritborn all over again. I want to do something cool with the Gemling but Im not finding the right recipe

Merc has been underwhelming without a spear this patch.

Its EA, you are supposed to play new stuff. So either run merc with spear or amazon with xbow. Both works well.

Strength stack, fireball, chain from terrain, sire of shards.

Still be needing a spear, you can try the whirling ignite or whirling shock build for gemling, stack accuracy for speed since gemling can use 2 same support gem at different skill. Also with the new enemy is low life helm and nodes it gives out decent damage. Also it moves around fast

The advantage for gemling with whirling skill is the ability to use double gem to increase stat or damage. Tue damage is not as crazy as huntress or deadeye but its there. Try it out
