Is life regen on gear bad or I'm missing something?

as tittle says...

My build dont use life regen... but I'm seeing it a lot on gear and when checking price, all are 1 ex

So...is it a trash mod?
even at high tier it seems like nothing...
Higher I found was 15 per s...

My energy regen is like 3k per s.

Am I missing somethnig or this is out of tune?
