Will gold held inside of kingsmarch in the legacy of pherecia event migrate to settlers

People are saying that gold held on their character was migrated but gold that i had stashed around in the kingsmarch town is still missing. Will that gold be migrating into settlers in due time or is that dead along with the workers (with no prior notice that gold had to be on your character) if so :(

i also am curious about workers if there is a way to keep them or do they just disappear?
