Essentia Sanguis Leech Bugged?

Hi I have been testing the gloves using the thorns leech nodes. The gloves dont work with vaal pact at all, all my leech is still over time.

It's also absolutely pitiful, even with many nodes invested it leeches basically nothing.

Conversely as a life build with the same nodes, I feel almost unkillable.

Clearly something is completely messed up here.

I am finding a similar thing. Ive tried life leech on weapon and on ring and its not doing anything noticeable?

im testing it to useing Whirling Assault Skill
And Even the Tool Tip in game when you equip the item "essentia sanguis" you see the tool tip change In game live from "life leech" to "Energy Shield Leech"

It seems to work fine on my Amazon LS build... The leech is applied to energy shield and a single attack usually replenished all shield (around 4K). It is not instant, but it is working. One of the rings needs to have leech. The only difference I would I believe it is that my leech is done from elemental damage.
