My latest campaign run feels... Great! (the loot sweetspot)

I wanted to try Bleed Huntress going Ritualist with Blood Boil. I'm saying that just for context. This isn't about the skills, but the loot experience.

Act 1 was mostly about managing scraps, but easy enough to wade through. Here, I was mostly celebrating every uncut support gem drop.

Going into Act 2, things were getting a little rough. I was using magic(blue) gear, picking the modifiers that helped the most and using orbs on rings etc. It wasn't horrible by any means, but I did feel the lack of a decent weapon against some rare mobs and against Rattlecage during the Sekhema Trial.

I picked up anything that was at least blue to sell, gambled a bit, checked the shops at every level up and at 26 it finally happened - An on level spear with +flat physical damage and increased attack speed. The perfect base!

I rolled it with a Regal orb into higher base crit chance, hit with an Exalt and got... +% increased physical? Wow! That was quite the boost after struggling for so long.

I wasn't immediately one-shotting mobs and the boss fights still took a bit, but I was definitely feeling the difference.

Then I went up against Zalmarath. Now, I know boss loot is heavily undertuned and the last one dropped only a handful of magic items and a rune, so I wasn't expecting much... I got a unique studded leather armor! Dustbloom, after being on just magic gear forever.

It felt meaningful, it felt powerful. I can't remember the last time I had this level of dopamine hit in an ARPG.

I'm aware this was a stroke of luck, but if they could fine tune the odds/resources to a point where you get this sort of experience once, possibly twice per Act, we'd be on track with the loot balance! More than that and the big drops don't feel as impactful, less than that and it feels like there's never anything good.
