Freeze for several seconds then screen goes black for several seconds PC

This is on a brand new MSI laptop running RTX 4060. Did not have this issue on 0.1.0 instead it would completely crash. Now instead of crashing it just freezes, usually at the most inopportune time.... I will be in the middle of a map and BOOM just like the title says. Once the freeze is over, I play normally again for about 1 hour until it happens again.

Is your laptop temp getting to high? This can cause stutters Freezing for a few seconds due to overload and its taking a breather. You could try googling a CPU limiter or lower your settings. This game is more CPU intensive than GPU.. a CPU limiter will be able to limit the resources that are given to the game. Might work! Do some research :)


Id first get a temp overlay while playing POE 2 and see how high your temps go. Should not go above 95c or it will start throttling to save itself.

Below or = 80c is good, 90 is fine, 95 is pushing it for long periods.

i think is a know issue that also happens on desktop.
I have the "same" issue where my game freeze and instead crash to desktop it "reboot" itself and continue from where it "crash" but the textures take a while to load everything back, is weird and some times when i back to my hideout it has no floor textures, i need to re-open the game to actually fix or wait couple minutes for it load the textures back (even on m.2).

Also had 0 issues like this one before the Dawn of the Hunt patch and i hope they fix it soon because when it happens on some bosses like the Expedition one is 50/50 rip because that fight don't pause there.
