Minions movement and KI are improveable.
Im a main Minion Player and i love these Minions, but they lack in KI.
GGG already improved the mobility of the minion in close gaps and so on, but its still not good. My Minion still get stuck in doors, close gaps and small bridges. If i would not use the weapon swap technique to swap to second weapon without minions and back to main set with minion, my minions would not follow me good enough to always stay with me. Also Minions are attacking everything on screen. Yeah thats good and what their job is, BUT they wont fokus the enemys, that are attacking me. Why dont they switch target in the moment any Monster hit me, to that target? in Breach/ Simulacrum, packsized maps and ritual this is rly annoying. Also its a problem, that the Minions always stay behind me when im moving. They should stay next to me, so im surrounded by them and not like a children group behind me to wait until i run into monster, to just blink back into my minions so they protect/attack. Dont get me wrong, i rly love Minions and all the builds that are possible, this is just my oppinion while i am playing from the start in PoE 2 only Minion builds. Also when i use the "move here" command the minions stop attacking. I mean ok, this can be fine, but they wont start attacking again... i need to use an ability on the enemys, so they start attacking again, or i need to wait, its like 3-5 seconds? something like that, until they attack again. To move the Minions away in some cases, so they wont attack can be helpful, but what i rly want is, that i command them at a point and they instantly attack all whats at this point. The Revive timers rework is great! What i rly wish for is a possibility in the options to set the KI of the Minions/companions like i want them to. Like one example: Player is playing with companion, but dont the beast to attack, its just for the "Buff" (f.e. all res). Why isnt there an option to set the KI. Like: Minion will always attack Minion will never attack Companion will always attack Companion will never attack Companion will stay close to player Minion will stay close to player. Minion will target every enemy in range Minion will target enemy, that hit player, first. Minion will always stay on max range Minion will always stay as close as possible to the enemy and so on and so on. This should be adjustable for Companion and Minion, and best would be for every Minion Class itself. Like i can adjust the Spectre to act like this, the Frost Mages like that and the Companion like an other way and so on.
