Inaccessible tower bug + how I got around it

The atlas map looks like this:

Initially I couldn't access the tower from node 1, so I tried going from node 2, still couldn't.
Then I tried clicking on nodes that I were not directly linked to the green ones, found out that for some reason I could go to node 3 and then I was able to get to the tower.

Hope this helps some people until this bug gets fixed
