GGG don't want us to play COOP

Hey, I feel they don't like us to play in Coop...

* The same amount of drops needs to be shared with the Group I don't feel an increase of items dropping, so play together makes you slower in item progression.

* I noticed only the “map owner” gets points for bosses (atlas points or boss points) why even take a friend inside for a boss? If we kill a nexus together, only one of us gets the atlas points ... GGG this is a change from the first approach in the 0.1 Poe2 why you think this is fun?

* if someone in the group dies, we can't revive him on the spot he respawns on the other side of the map (last checkpoint) ... please why is this

* why disable complete mechanics such as ritual if the map owner dies? (only he can interact)

biggest issue with group play is not having the map being revealed by a shared experience, so many times my friend has checked a dead zone but i have no idea as it hasn't revealed the map for me.
to be fair they did release two buffbot archetypes in the lich and the tactician and they are insane, lich offering a 100% dmg as extra chaos and the tactican like a 6-10x dps for attack builds

but yeah there are some qol issues with regular rando party play.

100% this!

I also agree that loot seems nerfed in parties, I made a post about it a few days ago.

Coop is the only way I'll play. It's the only way to get loot. Dropped like 2 div and a ventors worth 30div in like 5 maps. Solo I drop like 3 exalts in 5 maps lol.

This is just wrong. I play solo a lot and when I go play in a group the drops are absolutely increased. After playing solo for a week I had less than 50 exalts. I went to group play and had 900 exalts in a few hours of play. That's between raw drops and divines being shared in exalt value with the group.

I think the problem is really rarity based. If none of you are running any rarity, then more white and blue items drop, bubblegum currency is barely worth picking up and your chance at uniques is reduced. Rarity is calculated on the killing blow so having one of your group be the culling strike guy is beneficial, but if you can all run some rarity in maps it absolutely increases your drop success rate.

It's like we're playing a different game. I 100% believe you, I'm just having the opposite experience. Any valuable currency I've gotten has been solo. I'm running 75%(ish) rarity.

Maybe I need to ditch my IRL friends and mooch into your party ;)

Hey,

so there is a higher Drop value in party! i dont think its 100% per Party Member, ill check wiki and post this in the end of the post.

But i agree, that playing in Party is not good designed.

1. Hard FPS Drops - When im playing with 3-4 other friends most of them have just 10 fps cause theres so much Stuff going on on the screen... I have a very good Gaming PC and still only have 30-50 fps in Party, alone i have 60 or higher.

2. Quest Progress - Ure right, only Map Owner can complete Book Quests and Ritual/Expedition. Breach and Delirium can be completet, even if mapowner dies.
I also think this is a bad design. It makes literaly no sense to play with friends for completing Quests, only for the fun to play together and get maybe better loot. In my group were Mapping one day for the one person, next day for the other and so on, so that all get their points... i dont think this is the best solution. In the other hand, if all party members would get their books, ppl will abuse this to go into partys with higher lvled/geared ppl to get their books faster and so on. So i think it is maybe, like it is, to make it not so easy to get the books? maybe? im not sure.

3. Exp - Exp gain is great in Party! Even if i just play with my bf ill get a good amount faster my exp. This is great and this is a real reason to party up. But still this only works, when were near together, but this should not be changed, cause ppl abuse this and stand in a save corner, while his stronger friend will clear all and so on.

4. Map visibility - im 100% agree, that the map visibility should be shared in the Party.

5. Reviving - Sometimes the Checkpoint is close, sometimes not. I agree its a pain in the ass to travel the whole map back to where someone died. But i dont have a solution i can think of. I mean getting revived where a person died, can be rly rly bad! It could trap the person in an infinite death trap, where monsters are overwhelming the person, until no portals are left. Getting revived on the other side of the map is also rly bad, cause it costs time to spend better. I could think of an "extra checkpoint" spawning just in party, when one person dies and no other checkpoint is near. This checkpoint could spawn 1 or 2 screens beside the point the person died and will despawn after the person revived.

6. Rarity - Maybe someone here knows that, but i dont found anything about it. How is Rarity shared in Party? I have f.e. 107% rarity of items found and my mates got also around 100% atm, how is this shared in Party? Will it be calculated together and than shared equal on all party members?

7. Synergie - Some build perfectly fit into each others and some not. That Monsters can by default only get one Curse is pretty annoying... im playing ice, the next fire, the next chaos, all ppl want to use curses to make more dmg or apply better debuffs... its NOT possible that one person debuffs one curse, the next one also one curse and so on. This is rly annyoing. But there are more examples. In my oppinion, beeing in Party, should change some things, like, why cant everyone use one curse on the enemy? The enemys are much harder in Party, so this should not be "op" and when it rly is, GGG needs to balance this. Maybe curses, while beeing in Party are less effective? so still everyone can apply its own curse (if its not the same of course) and benefit still from it, but not beeing totaly broken.

8. Difference - The Monsters are a lot harder in Party, more ppl, more harder. I like this, cause in Party were getting more Loot/Exp. Its still pretty hard for some of my mates. They got max res and some other defences, me too, but sometimes one of us gets instanly one shottet. Not just from Rares/Bosses. This happened too from a normal minion xD He got like 70-80% evasion and max Res, but got oneshottet, cause the enemys are dealing so much more dmg and got higher acc. This needs a slighty balance. Its pretty good how it is, just a minor balance, so that oneshots out of nowhere are not a thing, when defences and resis are up, this does not count for boss mechanics that will def. onehit, these are fine.

9. Visibility on screen - In Party the screen is full of Skills.... its not possible to see the ground and every Ability from enemys on it. I would like to have an option to lower or even disable to see party members abilitys. Or maybe a slider to make them less intense or so.

Thats all i could think of so far.
