Trial of Sekhemas will not complete

Have now ran 4 trials but it will not complete and allow me the points, 2 times I tried with the quest token which you can repeat and now 2 times with dropped tokens.
The portal is not activated, the statue to click on is not activated, only way out is to portal to town, when I do this it says trial complete but still no points.
Some of the chests are also locked saying I've already opened them.
Yes, I made sure the token allowed for the points and was not greyed out.

In short, cannot get ascendancy points can not rechoose ascendancy.
