Good game should allow you to have options and different paths

Some players enjoy a challenge, while others are casuals who prefer plenty of loot and don't want to wipe on a boss 20 times.

Then there are hardcore (HC) players — but their gameplay ends up nearly identical to softcore (SC), since the game's difficulty is balanced around the SC trade league.

The design philosophy seems more focused on what makes the developers happy, rather than on creating an experience that satisfies as many players as possible.

Why ssc and normal gameplay don't have any differences in gameplay?

Why no options to speed up some content if you already have level 80 or done some achievements in-game?

How about make super league where everything is as it is, and make normal just casual fun with lots of loots?

Also why so poor itemization, you could add more crafting, runes from d2, set items. Have some imagination.

Give people alternative way to play. Im not going to judge people who like it as it is now, because I respect their path.

Example in wow. You have classic players who cant stand retail. But there are still retail players who enjoy modern wow. Solution is not delete classic servers and force everyone play their modern version. (poe 1 says hi)

Is this another poe 2 thread in the poe 1 section? I honestly can't tell in this case, and yes EA has its own discussion section and feedback section.

I don't think copying d2 to the teeth (set items, runes) is a sign of having imagination.
HC is nowhere near identical to SC for obvious reasons and you can trade in HC too.

So basically, you’re asking for something that already exists: softcore trade. Let’s be honest it’s already absurdly generous and casual friendly.
The game throws loot at you like it’s competing in a giveaway contest, to the point where it’s practically brushing up against Path of Diablo 3 levels of loot saturation.

If all that still isn’t enough, and instant gratification isn’t hitting the spot, it might be worth looking into games that are designed with that in mind.
Diablo 4 and Last Epoch both lean into that vibe, easier base game, tons of loot, but you still have a bit of homework to do if you want the good stuff.

At some point, it’s less about making the game “fun for casuals” and more about turning it into a loot waterfall with no real gameplay challenge. And hey, if that’s what you’re into, fair enough, but not every game needs to cater to that style. In fact, it’s good that not every game does, because we’ve already got more than enough titles that got watered down into bland nothingness trying to please everyone.

Might as well fire up a mobile game at this rate.

No. all 4 different leagues are identical in gameplay. Yes it makes it easier if you can trade loot with players, but so many people are not intrested to do it. They play it ssf style.

So ssf with loot scarcity is painful for avarage casual player because game is balanced only around trade league. Trade league throws loot to your face, ssf not so much.

How about default gameplay is like in Poe 1, and for those masochist who enjoy killing white mobs long time, they have seperate check mark ✅ during character creation, "yes I want game be tedious". Everyone plays same ssf league but people who put marks on extra challenges get some title or other stuff for their effort.
