Do you have to kill a build when you nerf it?
|
Because that is what happening. Some build still work but they are so underpowered nobody wants to play them. Other's are just completely gone.
Gemling stacker - Increadibly OP build. But could be fine with some tuning of it's starting price/effectivness and nerfs for endgame. You could do it just with Pillar adjustments but you completely killed it. Pathfinder poison Concoction - The build is not even working. It had a very strong downside with flask charge consumption and that downside had a cealing that wasnt going anywhere. With Grim Feast gone and some ES adjustments the build would be fine. But you just made it so it doesnt even work anymore. Deadeye - didn't play it, but from what people said you killed it too. So now, i played a very good Thorns build, my friend plays lich and we just worried that the next time you patch the game you kill those builds too. Last bumped on Apr 19, 2025, 11:40:28 AM

As much as they don't want to have "flavor of the month" builds during leagues, they balance in such a way where that becomes the meta. I don't even care to follow what's best, but when they make everything obviously not as good...its another thing that feels like they want you to play their game their way. It's losing its appeal, unfortunately

I think they don't get what people want, the leagues take around 3 Months, the objective would be to level your char and have enough gear to be a God at the end of the season, because we have to start everything again in 3 Months. Nerfing like this, the majority of the players will never do all pinnacle Bosses let alone on power 4. On top of that the currency its an absolute joke, you spend 2 or 3 exalted and delirium to juice your maps, 50% of the times you come out with less than what you invested, how can this make any sense? The floor drops are another joke, 95% of the time they are completely useless, if they have some good stats, they will be missing suffix or prefixes, you invest 2 more exalted and 90% the item will be worthless.
At the end of the day, people play this game to be powerful at the end, not struggling for crumbs. If this doesn't change, they are at the risk of losing their community. |

" This seasons flavor of the month is even in the title of the patch. Season of the Hunt(ress) Plus a couple of other potentially OKish new ascendancies. This is all they had for us to test after 4 months so of course they made it OP. They aren't the only game to do this. Every ARPG or MMO that I have played that introduces a new class makes it ridiculously OP at first and nerfs it into the ground a few months later. Personally I'm just waiting for season of the Druid and the aftermath of whatever comes after. |

" I for one won't be playing the leagues I'll only play standard until they figure out loot drops. I will not go out naked to play the cancerous acts over and over and over. You took a shot at meaningful and hit on boring instead. Seriously I fight half a zone and I'm falling asleep. I have to FORCE myself to stay awake long enough to make the next waypoint. I mean if your goal was to create a sleep aid you're bang on for that. |
