Cannot cut support gems unless skill one is clicked, then two, etc.

I cannot add support gems to any skill unless I click the first skill in the list and then each subsequent skill in order until I reach the skill I want to add a support to. Upon opening the skill window, the first skill is selected. If I then click skill 5, for example, all support skills are greyed out. If i then click the first skill, then the second, then the third, then the fourth, then the fifth, I can then cut a gem for that skill. I can repro this at will.

For example:

Lets say I want to cut a support gem for skill 5

1) press G key to bring up the Skill window and the first skill in the list is opened
2) I scroll to skill 5 in the list and click
3) I right click an uncut support gem to bring up the Gemcutting window.
4) All skills are greyed out, even if i have the required stats
5) I go to the skill window and click skill 1
6) I click skill, 2, then 3, then 4, then 5. All support skills from 2,3,4 and 5 then appear as clicked and are able to be cut.


I MUST click the first skill, then each subsequent skill in order of appearance if I want the supports to be available for cut. If I do not click the first skill and then each skill in succession until reaching desired skill I want to cut, NO skills will be available to cut, they will be greyed out.

I am playing in the Dawn of the Hunt League, Smith of Kitava. This does not happen on my Stormweaver, Standard League.
