currency exchange impossible to use on controller

Not sure if it's just as terrible with mouse and keyboard, but on controller it's almost impossible to use the exchange. the prices on the currency are always fluctuating and the spaces that you input your prices reflect the changes in real time and will override whatever the player puts. It changes my price before I can finish. Player can easily lose gold and/or currency trying to spam enter before the price changes. The game has slow down mechanics for everything, but having to type your price in multiple times and sometimes losing either the gold or screwing yourself on a trade that sells instantly at market price feels terrible. It already shows the ratio in real time. It's impossible to trade other players, and near impossible to use the exchange. I guess that's why SSF is so popular.
