Path of Exile 2: Feedback, Dreams, and a (Noob)Player’s Perspective

Hello GGG!

I’m actually a nobody—neither a streamer nor a creator—just someone who has played PoE for 10,000 hours since Synthesis.

I’m aware that this message probably won’t reach you, but maybe I’m allowed to dream.

I love PoE because it’s a hack-and-slash game, because it has speed. If I want to play a slow-paced game, I choose simulators, city-building strategy, or something similar. In PoE, I want to run through maps and feel rewarded.

Currently, my Atlas includes nodes like:

60% reduced experience gain + Gold Value – Is this really meant to improve gold farming?!

190% increased item rarity – At the cost of -40% quantity, meaning fewer items overall. Yes, the drops are yellow, but they barely fill half an inventory, even with currency included. You get about half loot from nearly nothing.

If this is intentional, I don’t understand the logic behind it. To me, as a Noob, it looks like a variable is incorrectly applied—rather than X * 1.4, it seems like X * (-1) * 1.4. There’s no real incentive to skip quantity, rarity, or experience in exchange for another positive reward on the map.

+1 Mob Level
I’ve covered everything I want to run with Irradiated Tablets. Out of roughly 50 maps that show the +1 monster level symbol, only 1-2 actually mention +1 level in their description. And indeed, only in those maps where +1 level is explicitly stated, the mobs are actually a level higher—not in every Irradiated map.

Wisps feel disappointing to me. I’ve invested 36 out of 40 Atlas points exclusively into Essences and Wisps. I’m running 6-mod T16 Corrupted Maps, and rare Wisped mobs are dropping ~8k gold and 1 Transmutation Orb—while in Act 1, there are actual loot goblins with better rewards in comparison.

I miss builds that are easier to play, like Righteous Fire. Let boss fights last five minutes—that’s fine—but every player should have the choice to go glass cannon or prioritize defense, even if that means sacrificing damage. The current portal system solves this very well. Slow and steady or high risk, high reward—you’ve set the foundations perfectly.

Please bring the crafting bench back to Act 1. The runes don’t properly fulfill the role of targeted crafting—everything feels like a gamble. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t expect to craft a +level weapon with 100% spell damage and 100% cold damage in Act 1—but at least having a way to exclude certain mods and reroll more effectively would be amazing. The crafting system in PoE was incredibly complex, and I hope you find a middle ground.

The loot feels off. Yes, I’ve played Aurabot extensively and done juicy farming. You often talk about wanting a healthy economy—but in my opinion, a significant time investment, a well-coordinated party, and rarity-focused gear should result in meaningful rewards. Not everyone can play rarity-focused builds, but they help fill the market with items that casual players can access. Of course, balance is necessary—I don’t expect to farm hundreds of Divines in the first 24 hours. But right now, I’d love to see a repeatable quest, something like: Complete 20 maps to earn 1 Divine—as I’ve only found 3 Divines so far.

About Graphics
You could have saved 10% of your graphical resources and invested that into loot and balance instead. Because, let’s be real—PoE2 is a masterpiece of graphical detail. I doubt any game in the next few years will come close to it.

I absolutely love the auction house—it was one of PoE’s greatest achievements.

Boss Fights
Your boss fights are EPIC—they’re fun to learn and master—unlike the scripted ones from PoE1.

Bring Back Righteous Fire and Aurabot
Please bring back Righteous Fire—but not the nerfed version from the end, rather one with real power. I wouldn’t mind if it had requirements like: Rightous Fire → Requirement: 90% Spirit. You can only use Fire Skills. But please let us have it back—the thrill of chilling through maps, watching mobs explode, and truly immersing ourselves in the world was incredible.

You're on the right path to making the game fun and enjoyable with friends.

This should be rewarded, as loot is meant to be shared among a group of five. Plus, after a hard day at work, looking forward to gaming with friends for a while—and having it feel truly rewarding—keeps the excitement alive for much longer than just two weeks!

Final Thoughts
Please don’t give up—you created a masterpiece with PoE1 and turned PoE2 into a graphical highlight across the entire gaming genre. I’m really excited for the next league!

Lastly, I’d like to apologize for not speaking English well and for relying on AI for translation. Yes, there is criticism, but also plenty of positive feedback—I truly hope that comes across.

And please, GGG, don’t give up! We still stand behind you and eagerly look forward to new content!
