We SHOULD not be FORCED to choose between salvaging and disenchanting

I do not like the idea that we as player have to choose do we want to salvage item for socket/quality materials or disenchant for regal shards, especially from rare items. The ratio 10 to 1 is also a problem, but we could probably live with that, however I think 5 to 1 would help early game crafting way more.
Probably the biggest issue with early game crafting is that we do not have enough materials. And butting loot is not always a good option to go after since it can mess things later on. We already have tools do assist player's ability to progress with crafting, but at the moment it is not properly utilized. We are starving of regal orbs and socket/quality materials especially in EARLY game. The issue is right now that the system we currently have punishes player regardless which path you choose to do with RARE loot. If we drop a rare item and it has socket or quality on them now we have to choose the path of which type materials we want when we NEED BOTH. This is not fun and it should not happen. We SHOULD get both benefits once we finish that quest with Renly to use the salvage bench. So GGG, my suggestion is this. In 0.3.0 patch (if you can't do this league). Lower regal shard to orb conversion from 10>1 to 5>1 and allow to get both type materials from salvaging/disenchanting items which has socket/quality on them. With this system you will encourage people actually to pick up all the loot and disenchant it so we getting our material we starve right now.
