A letter to GGG

As a long-time PoE player who has spent over $500 on supporter packs, it breaks my heart to see how bad PoE 2 is turning out compared to what I had hoped for.

I urgently beg you gentlemen to take a serious look at the community’s feedback before this game dies. I’ve gathered some of the major complaints that PoE 2 players are extremely frustrated with:

1. The game seems designed to benefit RMT farmers, where every single piece of content can be farmed for money. Meanwhile, basic or casual players struggle just to get through each Act of the story if they don’t have prior PoE experience. The gap between regular players and hardcore grinders is absurd.
2. Were the monsters in this game made just to piss players off? What’s the point of having Armor, Evasion, or Block when any random white mob can leap at you at max speed and one-shot you? [Removed by Support]
3. New players find the game nearly impossible to approach. The early-game difficulty isn’t about puzzle-solving like other ARPGs; it’s that the Act bosses are way too powerful compared to the gear a normal player can get unless they grind like hell or have previous experience. Again, this ends up as content for RMT players to make money off the tears of basic players.
4. The current endgame is just a messy pile of copy-pasted garbage — full of bugs, grind-heavy but completely meaningless, with no clear goals or satisfaction reward. Why not design proper endgame bosses with unique titles or easily identifiable rare cosmetics to reward those who defeat them? Right now, the only “reward” is a dog-ugly pair of wings from Xesh 4 that looks like trash. What’s the point of showcasing it when beating a boss feels the same as not beating one? I’ve seen players who’ve played 3-4 months and still don’t even know where the boss gate is on the map. It’s pathetic.
5. The item crafting system is so random and luck-based that most players just choose to buy gear instead. That alone shows how brain-dead the system is.
6. Class balance is in shambles. One class always makes up 50% of the player base while the rest are ignored.
7. Taking everything into account, I see more and more players quitting every day — a huge red flag. Instead of logging in to get smacked by a random monster and losing 10% XP for no reason, people would rather scroll TikTok or fishing to soothe their soul.

I’m sending this message from my 4-year-old PoE account. I hope you read it.

Warm regards —[Removed by Support]
