A veteran's opinion of poe2 .

I've not posted for a very long time. I cannot hold back any longer.

To keep it short and simple. It's boring, and it's not going to get any better until the 'vision' changes.

Problem 1: Stop talking about campaign.

I listen to the interviews, the changes made, EVEN in poe1. They spend way too much time on the campaign and JR thinks if people aren't happy with the campaign its because its not good enough. I can tell you no matter how good you make this campaign, I refuse to make multiple characters if I need to spend 8-20 hours for a new character. I wanna get through campaigns fast, no matter how elegant it is, and I've not cared what the story is about.

Problem 2: Pacing
What complete nonsense it is to slowdown the game by making people walk slow. If you're trying to slowdown the economy, there are better ways to do it, AND fun. First, increase monster density, and reduce loot rate, adjust appropriately to have desired loot rate. People want to kill stuff. People want to run fast. Let them. People want to see loot drop, so let more exalts/chaos drop. Instead, make high tier mods less frequent. People are happy to run fast, killing stuff even if loot isn't the best.

Problem 3: Pacing again
All boss mechanics needs to function like jun/mastermind in poe1. That's to say, you cannot spam bosses repeatedly by simply buying fragments. Fragments would bring forth some encounters and only once completed can bossing happens. This change will drastically prolong endgame.

Problem 4: Pacing yet again..
To play tier6, certain gearing should be necessary. To play tier14, again more upgrades should be necessary. In 0.2 especially, people are progressing way too fast, and not needing any minmax gear to get far.

Problem 5: Difficulty done wrong
Difficulty should increase over time. Act1 in both poe1/poe2 should not be the hardest. It should be a 'tutorial'. Mapping should be much much much harder to make any sort of gear meaningful. Campaign should be easier. Ultimately, if you want an enjoyable time, prepare to spend 500 divs. If you dont have time, then just play low tier maps like how people did long ago in poe1. Being in t15 should be privileged.

Problem 6: Mechanics
Boring. Poe1 alva/jun are the sort of clever mechanics that should be done more. Instead we have simplistic mechanics atm. Nothing clever to it, no decision making. Old jun was even better before they made it far less fun.

There's more, but this is about what i would type for now.

JR are you gonna read or not.
`Spent 2 mirrors on my build, but I'm only Level 98.` LOL
`From just quick sweep of your characters, toxic rain, golems .. sure, non meta... sure.` LOL
