Feedback: Theorycrafting is for casuals almost impossible, that hurts build diversity a lot

There is the big problem with almost every casual player need to follow a buildguide to get a good build going.
and even with my 5000+ hour in po1+2 together, i never did my "own" build because every time i tryed, i started to go to PoB. ... ... ... that alone should give you a hint.
mostly i just took any build that looks fun for me and just use it as kind of template and change it to my likings, but only with the help of PoB! without that tool, i would be screwed!

IMO one big reason is, the player have not enough information!

path of building is a very good tool,
BUT it needs knowledge (from the game and from the tool itself) to set it up right, that can take a long time.
and it is not ingame, what most of the people would prefer i guess.

it starts with very basic things like what chance does a skill have to proc an ailment.
this is what a normal player would do:
looking at the lightning spear skill,
where the tooltip from the gem itself (hold down ALT on the gem), in the "lightning bolt"-tab say, "200% more chance to shock".

he would read, that shockchance is based on your lightning damage and would open the skills tooltip pannel (rightclick the skill) to check further,
then go to "lightning bolt"-tab, and search for how high even is my chance to shock with this skill and my actual lightning damage at all,... and there is no info about shockchance at all.
or
they might think adding a bit cold damgae to a ring and think they might have a tiny chance to freeze now if they also have freezebuildup, but agin, no info about freeze buildup or freeze anywhere.

that makes it hard for people to know what they are building and what they would need to improve their builds.

many people don't know about gem quality at all or find it out very late.
it would be better imo if you change it to always be shown, instead of, need hold down the ALT key on a hovered gem just to see quality does exists.

i like the changes with estimated accuracy chance,
but the word "Estimated" alone is not a good source of information. is it against normal white monsters, against rares, against uniques? how much more would i need for at least 50% against rares or uniques? i would love to know them ALL ;)!
(same goes for armour and evasion, estimated chance against what?)
such little things help new and casual players a lot, specialy those who do not use things like path of building. or even want to try out the game without any guide at all!

also a way to see the sources of the stats would help a lot,
like if hovering the crit chance, accuracy, on hit effects,...etc., in the skills pannel, should show where these numbers come from. does it come from gear, tree, support gems, ascendancy,..etc.
(a bit like the "calcs" section of PoB)

people can't build things if they have not enough information, and because theorycrafing needs time and is for some people more effort than for others, a good source of ingame information is the key of adding build diversity!

oh and last but not least,
there is also no good way atm to see my total global stat requirements of STR DEX and INT.
would be nice to see this on hovering STR itself in the char window.
like, "current gear requirements: xx STR", "current gem requirements: xx STR"

so there are my thoughts about it, i feel i missed something but i am tired already, its 11pm for me.
so for now i think this sums up a bit why i think people feel to need to follow guides instead of try to just play and experiment with their own thing.
