Lich Ascendancy Node Change

Dear devs,
I find the Node > Eternal life (Your life cannot change while you have Energy shield), problematic as often times we are required to use a skill with the only purpose to hurt ourself so we can use our HP flask when we are on low hp. I wonder if its possible to add exceptions to this Ascendancy Node. Example, Your life cannot change while you have Energy Shield except from own skills/flask. Skills is important as there are unique equipments/passives that increase your damage by using your hp and if you have them on/active the skill/skills cannot be used since your hp will not change. " Interactions with blood magic and other unique items would b quite broken if it worked that way. But theres something I dnt really get. Since we are incentivated to mana stack and also give u some better mana regen in the same ascendancy, would b logic to go for the mind over mater aproach, so I dnt really get why this one incentivate u to go to energy shield/life only. How I see it, you either go right side for tankiness and mana regen from life or go left side for mana stacking and MoM. I currently went right, with 2k life, 1k mana, almost 600mana/s regen and stacking ES for survival. It's very tanky option with lots of potential.

Eh, maybe, maybe. But sustaining low life for many perks is the handiest when it does not move anywhere under any circumstance. I even carry a unique with me at all times to make sure it stays where I need it to be.
Consider not being able to make use of life draining on self skills a downside to being immune to any hp damage while with ES :) I would not like it change and I rely on it being the way it is a lot. Last edited by InvRnd#4436 on Apr 17, 2025, 7:38:10 AM

Honestly my main issue was that i hate having to go to a normal map so mobs can deplete my ES in order for me to enter the Trial of Sekhemas with full hp/ES since that determines the amount of holy water you start with.
