The main reason economy suffers is you

Yes, you. Mister "I put my 6% fire resist ring for 10 divines".

Stop putting your shit loot for divines. It's not worth that much. Most of the time, it ain't worth 5 ex.

No wonder economy gets screwed. You can't stop screwing it. You try selling everything for divines, so now exalts become worthless and we are at 1 to 100 already.

You do realize the general consensus is for you to price high initially then mark down. You throw everything potentially viable into a junk tab and mark it high in the event something in there is valuable. Then you progressively mark it down until you reach a point the trade is no longer worth your time.

Searching the trade site will automatically sort them by the lowest price, so anything overpriced just doesn't get seen.

All that has absolutely nothing to do with the value of divines to exalt. The rarity of drops and usefulness of the raw currency are the only relevant factors.
The economy was hosed after the 2nd day with the ritual exploit.

Part of the reason that the economy is actually messed up is the trade site miss-valuing divines (specifically you have to manually change exchange rates in some cases), some people have noticed that and some items have corrected, one item type being movespeed boots

But to your main reason, kinda true ngl. But you could phrase it in a way thats less aggressive, like, "the economy is partially messed up due to a influx of newer players who have harder times determining the value of items"
The whole notion of pricing an item high, then marking it down, is an excuse to not actually learn the value of items. I really hope that this practice changes and stops becoming a normal and players begin to take some steps in learning the game. Its not hard to look at an item and determine its worth. It will make trade so much smoother for everyone.

The majority of players cannot just look at an item and know what it can sell for. Having to go into the tradesite and enter in the stats for each item is tedious as hell.

Yup, damage was done and now this league is cooked until they make some nuclear changes.
