Stuck on quest state in act 2

I was leveling my 2nd character, killed Balbala out of habit, picked up the quest barya and then chucked it on the ground, figuring that I'd never use it. Well, the side effect of this is that I am currently stuck on the quest state that says, "Returh to the Ardura Caravan and speak to Zarka about what you have just found."

I have gone back and killed Balbala on normal and cruel difficulties and the quest barya will not drop. Being stuck in this quest state prevents me from accessing the Trial of the Sekhemas zone in any way. I have tried teleporting to other players, but it says incorrect quest state. I tried going back and killing her with other players on the act 2 quest, no luck. It seems like there is no way to fix this without abandoning the quest, which is unfortunately not possible as far as I'm aware.

Any assistance with this would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

If you could implement a way to abandon quests, I am sure that it would solve this problem!

I'm still waiting for any sort of action to be taken for this issue. Not being able to enter "sanctum" on this character is extremely, extremely frustrating!
