LINK/UNLINK MY POE 1&2 to my Steam account

Dear Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I played a few leagues of Path of Exile 1 for a few seasons a long time ago via own client and then took a break from the game. Recently, I wanted to return and play the new league, but I was surprised to find that my account encountered an error and that it cant be linked to my steam.

As for my POE2 account, I had it linked to a different steam account, and I would like to unlink it and have both of my POE1 and POE2 accounts in 1 steam account.

I immediately contacted support via email (support@grindinggear.com) and was asked to provide my account details and character names, which I did. I would like to follow up for any news or update on this.

I kindly ask if you could let me know how much longer I should expect to wait for a response, or if there’s anything else I need to do to help resolve the issue. I would love to get back in the game for this easter, having it on steam would also allow me for steam remote play.
