People who say this game is good.

Are probably not even through campaign yet, or are just making new toons and replaying campaign over and over.

I'm here to painstakingly get through the shit campaign to get to end game. THE REAL part of the game. What actually keeps people coming back. Starting from 0 and ending at hero. Feeling invincible and slaying screens of monsters at the stroke of a key. Because thats what a REAL arpg is, 0 to hero.

Im supposed to be the savior of this world and yet I get constantly one shot, and im 68 and cant even find an upgrade(because nothing ever drops). What is this "vision"? If you wanted to make a dark souls mmorpg why didnt you just do that?

Some will disagree, but I think most would agree and the numbers show that. 500k+ peak in december and 250k peak now weeks after 0.2.0 deployed, and massively negtaive reviews. Hmmmm.... I wonder why?

This shits crazy, and boring. Speaking from 30+ years of gaming experience.

You don't find upgrades in POE2, the same as it was in POE1. Both games have the same "vision". Crafting is terrible in both games with absurd time investment for currency. Again the same "vision".
Don't worry ladies, new season for LE launches soon. If that's still too complex/grindy, then d4 will have a new reskin of some borrow power at the end of the month I think, you are a god in that game after one day and it shits out loot like crazy.

OP - I say the game is FANTASTIC and see above quote. Level 100, Level 96, 95, 93, 92 (Standard) and maybe couple others. All classes and multiple ascendies on some classes. And currently 93 in DoH League. The game is incredible.
This is why ggg doesn't take your feedback seriously. The only way you can make an argument supporting your feedback is by massive exaggerations and claims that the people who don't think the same way are just lying.

The campaign is EASIER than it was last season. It's also SUPPOSED to be part of the game, clearly, otherwise they would have made it short af like poe1.

I've already got 2 chars to maps this league, and am enjoying the game plenty. Last league I got 6-7 chars to maps. I actually find the non-stop mindless mapping to be the boring part of the game.

Does this mean I'm just lying, or my opinion doesn't matter?
Last season I had fun playing almost every class I picked up. I could actually find loot. I was running t15s on 4 different toons and they were all fun.

This season is garbage. Reverted loot to nothing by making it not drop. Was told I need to play vendor simulator to find gear or farm currency to buy it off the tradesite that no one responds to because im not buying a 150 divine item.

The game itself im fine with, whatever.

The no loot thing is the killer for me. All risk and no reward.

I dont need to be geared to the teeth overnight but holy shit we dont need to be putting in 1000 hours either

If you nerd properly you can be the saviour of the world, you just have to actually appreciate the systems instead of casually building only damage like if its Vampire Survivor's or D4.

500k players on Steam only is an insane amount, 250k is extremely good.
For the last decade or more games in general have had major problems and many people have learned to lean towards competitive games like LoL/Counter Strike/Dota/Any FPS game etc to relax on.
To think that all of the playerbase would stick with PoE2 after campaign completion is a very ridiculous thought + we're missing half the weaponry and performance tuning is needed for this game to run at a constant 60fps+ for the main userbase which are on lower end PC's.

I've got 30 years+ of gaming experience too but I'm willing to bet I've soaked in just a touch more wisdom...
250k<500k easy math, 60% negative reviews on steam easy math, id say the wisdom you "soaked" isnt worth shit for intelligence.

Easy math is important for people who aren't capable of anything else.

250k<500k is a comparison of daily active users, not total player population. An online game is going to attract a higher % of total players on a big day like patch release, but an average day is going to have only 20-30% of the total player population logging in. If 50% of the players logged in on launch day and 25% log in on an average day then 500k and 250k both represent 1M total active players. See?

Daily reminder that at least 2/3rds of Steam reviews are from people who never played the patch: https://i.imgur.com/epTckYm.png

Like, the plan didn't work. All the grumpy PoE1 players who thought they were going to be super clever by review bombing 0.2 but weren't smart enough to let the client idle for 48 hours first gave up the game. You're busted. GGG knows the reviews are bogus and so does everyone else.

Why is it that everyone who's not finding the game fun becomes so emotional and then thinks somehow it's a conspiracy that anyone who likes the game is lying or somehow playing wrong or a GGG plant or whatever else? We get it, you don't enjoy the game, go play one you do. Or go outside or any other option for better use of your free time.

I've played ARPGs since Diablo 1 was new. I'm having fun in PoE2, just like I had fun in the first one, or I wouldn't be playing. I have 1 character, as I did in 0.1.0, I'm in maps, I'm not playing a meta build, and I'm in SSF league.

Oh, I also don't use the Steam client. So obviously the Steam numbers aren't the full story. I can't leave a positive Steam review either, because I don't use the client. But I would leave a positive review, not because it's a perfect game, it needs a tonne of work. Obviously, it's in early access. But I'm enjoying it, which is what a game is for.
