Perfect Jewellers orb question

If I have 3 gem sockets on my Storm Mages, will a Perfect Jewellers Orb make it 5 or only 4 slots if I use it. I dont want to use it yet If it will only make it 4.

It goes from 3 direct to 5.

Yes, as of 0.2 the Perfect Jeweler's Orb will fully max out the skill's gem slots.
