Need help improving build. Impending doom lich.

Hello.

Currently playing impending doom lich mana stacker and looking for ways to improve the build. Want to push it to the point i can clear all content. (at least most of it)

Clear in t15/t16 maps feels pretty good, but single target is terrible. I can't even kill ultimatum bird (ig skill issue tho).

I've seen people running the build with Eldrich battery, tried it, but it feels awfull, low defence + stuns are a huge issue.
Also pretty much makes 4th assencendancy point useless, since the only one you can run is double curse with hexproof (pretty much just 1 more skill point since you dont need whispers).

I guess i can add ED/C with Dark Effigy, but im not sure if the damage from it even worth it. Only reason to use it (as far as i can see it) is better withered uptime, but unless boss is awfull (looking at you ultimatum bird).

Also i understand that i can run focus for more spell damage and mana, but lack of block makes character feels much less tanky, even tho im not scaling it, 40% is quite alot.

Looking forward for suggestions, maybe there's some tech i dont know about or im doing some blatant misstakes.

As far as I know ED & Dark Effigy is a build on his own that can clear most content. So you can definitely add them (even if it would not be as powerfull as build dedicated to them) for more DpS on single target. And it's not like you lose anything by using them to begin with.
