Character stuck on loading screen

I was in a party and went into the wetlands. It started to load and just hung on the loading screen. Now every time I try to load that character, it just sits on the loading screen. It sounds like it loaded in, but the loading screen just stays.

I restarted the client on the Xbox. I rebooted the Xbox. I waited an hour still no luck. I am able to log into my other characters.

Emailed support. They said I had to post on the forums and pray

I was able to fix this by creating a second char and doing split screen so it pulled my char to the new one I made.

how you do this?

I'm having the same issue, I was in a party with my main character in cruel mode yesterday, now she's stuck in limbo, I was going into the Ogham ramparts and the loading screen just froze and wouldn't load the next area and I had no choice but to quit the game. Now when I try to load that character I just get this perpetual loading screen but my other low level characters load fine, I've wathced countless YT videos for solutions, one worked but got no sound but when I closed out of the game and reloaded my character the loading screen wouldn't load the next area, this is a real game breaker for the time it took to get to this point in the game to feel that I have to kiss this character goodbye and start a new one. This seams to be recent issue on all platforms since the new content,I'm playing on XboxX and my game tag is charmeyn47

my other friends have had this issue as well.

How do you do this? You just go back to the loading screen, and start a couch co-op multiplayer session. Load in the new char, and then for the 2nd player you load in with your stuck guy.

Afterwards it seems that the instance you got stuck in, is bugged for you. So like if you have a group of friends playing you can't rejoin them.

Creating a new character and then starting a co-op with the character that was stuck worked for me on ps5.
