Map bosses do not drop waystones

As soon as I reached tier 6 maps the bosses not only don't drop waystones of one tier higher, but they don't drop a waystone at all. I do get the tier 6 waystone drops from killing all rares to sustain, but I just can't go up in tiers at all.
Killed probably 10+ bosses now without getting a single waystone from them.

And just for clarification, I am aware of waystone drop rate scaling down thus needing waystone drop chance on waystones to compensate. Every map I've run has had 2-3 mods minimum, obviously not feasible to sustain using Exalted Orb for higher chance at this point so I reckon that's not the intent from as early as tier 6.

Update, after reforging waystones to get to higher tiers killing all rares no longer drops any waystones either so I'm unable to even sustain.

You are doing something wrong. Even without Atlas tree I got at least 1 Waystone of same lvl in every run. With Atlas tree and good precursors I drop many

No, it's absolutely possible to clear a map and not get a single waystone. It's not that common but it happens.

To the OP, check that your loot filter hasn't broken something. Also pay attention to what each atlas node says. Even without towers affecting them they can have weird tradeoffs like less quantity but more rarity, which could absolutely make zero waystones drop.
