Cant use vaal orb on Essences

Have tried 3 times now to use a vaal orb on essences. This happened every time: When using vaal orb and clicking essence once - it instantly breaks to release the monsters AND does not corrupt whatsoever and still takes away my vaal orb.

Same. 3/3 just opens the encased monster.

what.... since april ???
joined poe2 few weeks ago and now i found that corrupting essence encounter is still broken .... nice tried to use vaal orb icon on encounter - 9 out of 10 tries just start encounter without using orb tried to use vaal orb manually from my inventory - 9 out of 10 tries just did the same ant fixes coming? any tips how to 100% use vaal orb on it? it's not a bug, it's one of the out come of vaaling them.
