Game constantly pausing or crashing

Not sure why but yesterday I started getting the ‘game paused’ at the bottom of the screen. I’ve got well over 400 hours into the game and it just started doing that to me yesterday. I’ve contacted my internet service provider and ruled out connection issues, so I would love to know what’s going on please as I’m getting very tired of trying to figure this out. The game is ‘pausing’ and severely lagging/freezing any time I throw a lightning spea, I can’t open portals because it says I can’t do that while the game is paused even tho I’m running around, and when I try to use waypoints my game crashes and boots me to the character select screen. Any help would be great thanks.
