[Gloamgown Robe] Recharge Rate Bug

Energy shield recharge with Gloamgown is set to seconds ten base as expected, however when gaining %Faster start of energy shield the timer is not properly reducing.

It is either mislabeled as base recharge is 10 seconds when it means 'your energy shield recharge starts after 10 seconds,' or it is bugged as it does not benefit from passives that grant faster start of energy shield recharge.

I was super excited to get this robe at 45 on my lich figuring it would scale down to maybe 4-5 seconds if I stack a lot of passives. Disappointment came shortly after equipping it.

Based on the wording on the unique, I would expect I'd be able to modify the ES recharge delay.

Either the text on the unique is incorrect, or it bugs out the "#% faster start of Energy Shield Recharge" modifiers.

I have 130% from the Convalescence and Essence Infusion clusters on the passive tree, but the delay is still 10s in my character sheet. I also timed it with a video recording just in case the character sheet was inaccurate. The character sheet was accurate.

I have not tested the modifier on jewels.

Oh, I also tested without the body armor, and my recharge delay is 1.9s as expected. So I know it's an issue with the body armor.

I might think it's intentional.

Every time you see xxx is xxx, it means you cannot change it in any way. Just like the previous version of Original Sin "Chaos Resistance is Zero", you cannot modify your chaos resistance and it is always zero.

But the wording is pretty bad tbh. "Your base Energy Shield Recharge Delay is 10 seconds" and the word "base" makes player think that they can modify it.

I don't think it is a bug and it's intentional.

They can make it clearer for sure.

I don't disagree about "is", but "base" implies that it can still be further modified, and that just the start point is shifting. Unfortunate tho.

I'd planned to get around this via getting stunned, but it seems like the jank option is the only option now. Waveshaper also looks a lot more competitive.
Yea after posting it I also thought about it so I edited it.

There is precedent to support your belief: Blood Mage's Sunder the Flesh "Base Critical Hit Chance is 15%" can indeed be further modified.
