Ascendancy Points not granted nor Choice of changing the Ascendancy given

Disapointingly no Ascendendancy Points were granted. Or even worse the very possibilaty to change the Ascendency in any of the two Ascendancy Challanges in Cruel were given.

It took me blasting 14 hours to finaly get to the point were I hoped I could change the Ascendancy which didn´t work out for me. Sadly when I finished both of the very annoying challanges, none grandet any reward at all.


I kinda feel the design choice in an early access questionable to make the change of the Ascendancies that hard.
The first time in this Season I picked an Ascendancy up for my new Monk/Huntress idear the Game disconnected while I was reading into the description. So I had to attampt the Sekhamas again. Before I could finish the run, I got anohter disconnect. So I had to attampt the Sekhamas again. When I finaly finished the run I kinda picked my Ascendancy hasty an pretty annoyed since the games seemed to lag out again. Thinking I could change them along the Way if they wouldn´t work out for me.

I´m almost certain I´m not the only one with similar experiences. Which kinda leads me to the point: I hope it is not necassary to to pick up another Character to do another Run of the the same Story Mode twice before I can go on with it.

You currently cannot change from one ascendancy to another.

The Djinn Barya or Inscribed Ultimatum will say on their item if completing them will give you new ascendancy points.

That is very sad to hear and doesn´t seem right to me. I´m pretty sure I was able to change the Ascendancy later on, because the choice was given to me. Or maybe it was just a bug.

The problem still reamains that after completing both Trials not a single Ascendency Point was given out. And I finished the Cruel Version with more than 2/7 Trials.

I could do the Trials again and gladly would send you the Videos doing so. Still no Points given out.

Considering the fact that the Game is severely buggy at least on the PS5 it is very disappointing that no Ascendancy Changes are possible.

Time is limited. I´m not sure it is worth it to put another 60-80 Hours into the game just to be at the same spot I am already are. Just with the right Ascendancy.

Is it possible to change the Name of a Character?


To top the whole thing off I´m sure I had a similar issue almost 4 month ago. The very same Ascendancy Points were not given out. Later on they were just there all the sudden an I thought I was just too stoopid to notice. This time I double triple and quadrouple checked though. No Ascendancy Points. So it seems to be an ongoing Issue considering the PS5 specific?
