0.2 Loot is a Disaster — The Stat Stacker Proved It
Back when I ran the original Gemling Legionnaire stat stacker — the build that obliterated maps at warp speed — I already noticed the loot quality in PoE 2 was abysmal. You’d clear entire zones in seconds, kill dozens of packs, crack chests, drop bosses... and end up with a pile of nothing. If that build couldn’t make loot feel rewarding, nothing could.
And now with the 0.2 Dawn of the Hunt update? Things are even slower. Movement, kill speed, everything. But the loot still sucks. Actually feels worse. I’m spending more time per zone, and getting even less back. How does that make any sense? This isn’t about RNG. This is a loot philosophy problem. GGG somehow made a system where even the fastest, most efficient builds feel unrewarded — and now that everything’s slowed down, the grind feels 100x more painful. What’s the point of hunting if there’s nothing worth finding? Last edited by Jagdkommando90#7200 on Apr 9, 2025, 11:12:11 AM Last bumped on Apr 11, 2025, 6:00:59 AM

Well, don't get your hopes up about loot improving.
The devs seem to have intentionally omitted anything regarding loot in their upcoming changes. ,,|,, mods |

Every peice of gear Ive had on since act 5 was bought on trade site. I dont even pick up non tiered rares anymore 99/100 rare ids turns into gold.
They made ground loot even more dead than poe 1 because crafting here sucks and even if drops increased all you will find is liquid shit that you cant make useable with """crafting"""" here. Feel like only raw currency drops, deterministic pinnacle loot, and tiered rares are worth clicking on and its only a few days into the league. " as a temporalis blink autobomber doing maps in seconds, I agree. the loot was "okay" because you simply did a fuckton of maps per hour. the devs really believe that Im going to spent more time in poe2 instead of playing a game that doesnt feel like trash |

" agree this is exactly what I was talking about |

Can agree. Leveled a monkling to 100 and an autobomber to 96. Loot was never great but clear speed kept it reasonable. Crawling through T15s now that are taking 6-10 mins on Amazon. I can appreciate the slower gameplay and yes the autombomber was completely ridiculous (although insanely fun IMO). But just improve the loot - make it worth our time to even play endgame. They absolutely bombed all the boss unique drops - so whats the point of even doing pinnacle content now?
Level 88 or something currently and nothing notable has dropped. I think maybe like 4 alchemys (I know they're supposed to be rare but jeez). Wish I had bought a pilfering ring to see the stats. 0 Divines. I got a level 20 spirit gem out of one of the unique strong boxes. About it. Last edited by sebzzz#6019 on Apr 9, 2025, 6:19:28 PM

To me it honestly feels very similar to 0.1.
Except for regals. But I have not played a huge amount of endgame so far, so I'll have to gather some more anecdotal evidence to be sure of that. Imo its not "abysmal" though. I also generally appreciate that they are trying to design loot in a way that is meaningful, and not just throw way too much crap at you like PoE 1 did. I mean, loot is always RNG, so there will always be people that feel like they don't get enough and those that feel like they get way too much. Last edited by creeten#4303 on Apr 9, 2025, 9:35:41 PM
