Lich - Eternal Life - Refill Life Bug

When you have Eternal Life ascendancy allocated your life cannot be refilled by checkpoints, wells, or in hideouts/town.

If your life is depleted while ES is down and then your ES recharges before your life you can no longer have your life filled by any means. Flasks, Checkpoints, Wells, Etc. do not work.

When activating a checkpoint, the life meter visually fills and the immediately returns to the same value it was before clicking the checkpoint.

Well I can see it not refilling in maps/campaign areas. However, I guess I expected it to refill in town at least.

I see now that people are using it to cheese low life condition. So maybe it is intended

For now, checkpoints and city wells do not restore HP when "Eternal Life" is active.
Moreover, if you remove an item with the "+Life" parameter and put it back on, the current value of the parameter will not increase, but will remain at the level as if the item was removed.
Levelup also does not affect current HP. Only maximum.

Same issue for me, sucks, please please please provide some way to refill life, e.g. like in town with well. So far, ways to refill to full life: die, unspec eternal youth, fill, then respec, flask while shield is 0.

Bumping, this doesn't seem like the intended function of Eternal Life. I would think the idea is you can't lose life while Energy Shield is up. Not being able to refill life is a bit wonky. Was the condition always like this since launch of the patch?

The effect is intentionally a tradeoff. Nothing can make you gain life, but also nothing can make you lose life - which means any damage that bypasses your ES can be ignored instead of having it hurt you, as can any effects that would directly make you lose life without damaging you. It also provides a simple way to stay at low life for things like Pain Attunement if you're into that.

Just Spec out of Eternal Life, fully heal and spec back into Eternal Life and all is fine :)
