Chaos Incinerate Lich
Hi everyone, I made an Incinerate build for Lich and even tho it's a simple build without crazy numbers, it's working well so I decided to share it here in case someone like Incinerate and wanna give it a try. I'm having lots of fun using it and have been blasting T15+ for last 2 days. Hope you enjoy it too!
Why Incinerate? I already played an Incinerate build with Titan ascendancy during last patch and I enjoyed it a lot since it was easy to play, cheap and great for mapping. With the new patch Incinerate dmg got buffed and new support runes were added that boost its dmg even more than before. Additionally, burning ground was fixed and now is working properly. Why Lich? By using Blackflame ring it's possible to convert ignite in chaos damage which allows to use Wither/Despair to boost both ignite dmg and the dmg from the explosion of Rupture the Soul ascendancy which greatly increases maps speed clearing. The extra socket with double effect from Lich ascendancy is really good for ignite cause a single sapphire can have at the same time up to 30% increased magnitude of ignite (15% ignite and 15% ailments), up to 7% ailments deal damage faster and also ailments increased duration. Full energy shield stacking with fast start recharge and Eternal life + dmg bypass energy shield make this build ultra tanky. Additionally Convalescence on weapon swap provides a full energy shield recovery not interrupted by dmg in case of emergency. I also anointed the amulet with "Unhindered" to have less movement penalty but if you wanna go for more dmg you can pick "Lasting Trauma" or "Fast Acting Toxins" or "Burn Away" or "Immolation". The only modifier on maps which is better to avoid is "less recovery rate of energy shield". If you have any fps problem then you'll prob gonna hate this build cause of burning ground filling your screen. Finally someone else running incinerate.
I have been running it on my Chronomancer since s0. Can you provide your expanded weapon damage panel like so: https://imgur.com/0mtKgxT Granted im playing with last season gear still, I am running StruggleScream amulet for the 3 magnitude talents Slow Burn, Immolation and Lasting Trauma. I have a Sacred Flame for 58% extra fire damage and for the spirit. I've tried testing myself, but can't put my finger on it. Negative cast speed I have found to be an excellent stat. It slows the mana use of the spell effectively reducing its mana cost by that percentage. |

This is the weapon dmg panel: https://imgur.com/a/hkiQZbc Dmg could be higher but I don't feel I really need more dmg for mapping so I went for lots of defensive nodes (es/faster recharge start/recharge rate) and I'm also using an amulet with just es/resistances/spirit. More dmg could be usefull for high tier pinnacle bosses but I'm also using Sigil of Power and Soul offering which give lots of spell power on set 2 for big dmg boost on bosses and set 2 is full increased duration so soul offering last 14s and sigil of power 41s (couldn't screenshot but with sigil of power and soul offering, Incinerate reaches 24.6k-37k dmg in the panel) From what I have read and tested during S0, Incinerate dmg seemed to work in 2 phases like this: 1) the "false hit", which determines how high is the ignite dmg, gets buffed from every bonus from your side like fire dmg and spell dmg / fire penetration (if mobs have any fire resistances otherwise it's useless because it cannot penetrate resistances below 0 in poe2) / gain dmg as extra fire dmg / some of hit bonuses like the gem Controlled Destruction (buff like Intense Flames doesn't work) but nothing from chaos bonuses. Ignite magnitude works in this phase and increases the ignite dmg like if the "false hit" was bigger. 2) Once ignite is applied to the mob then its dmg get amplified only by debuff on the mob. So if you are using Blackflame the only things working are debuff like Despair/wither whereas Fire Exposure/Flammability do nothing. Otherwise without Blackflame then Fire Exposure/Flammibility work and amplified the fire dmg but Despair/wither do nothing. Ye, lower cast speed is great if you have mana reg issue even tho for Lich we have Soulless Form which gives lots of mana reg and it's almost impossible run out of mana with Incinerate. has anyone ever tested out using blackflame with burning inscription?
I wonder how that would scale. You can slot incription in the despair you already use to increase the chaos burn damage. Spread curse + decay and ignite with contagion? The only problem I see is that ignite nodes ussually pair with fire damage |
