Can I not unlink my Steam Account?

So I need this account I am writing on which is very old. To be unlinked and then deleted. I got myself a new computer, new account, new etc etc.... I just want to start fresh in path of exile 1 before I commit to Path of Exile 2. I hope someone can help. Thanks
