You can still play lightning spear amazon, it's the best overall build (very long read)

Now that the cat is kind of out of the bag, it's still not too late to snatch some meta LS items:

Best affxies for spear:
1. 500+ acccuracy rating
2. 20+ to critical dmg bonus
3. 60%+ ele damage for attacks

Other added damage affixes are nice but dwarfed by the amazon ascendancy penetrate, which converts 500 accuracy to 500-500 physical and a crapton of crit.

Something like this was only 10 exalts on day 2, but now sells for 2+ divines now.

You can run lycosidae to double your accuracy, or a normal shield with accuracy rolls on your ring. Either way will get you to 100% crit with max resist.

IF you still want to play... this build honestly rivals an equivalent geared spark archmage in 0.1.0 in clear but inferior on single target (because you don't have something like lightning conduit). It goes BOOM and the whole screen disappears, most satisfying build ever with amazing visuals+sound, even better than tempoarlis autobomber (which is obviously way better dps wise, but utterly boring to play).

Thanks to lazyexile for pointing out on day 1 that volt support was just OP as hell for LS. I thought LS was dogcrap at first, then you try volt, read it, use it properly, and it deletes screens. I like the spectral volley setup even though it's not meta anymore, because it turns it into a clunky BIG BOOM skill.

Also thanks to fubgun for always letting me know the best items to *sell* for inflated prices to his devout followers. 3 divines for a death's harp, thanks! BTW he just switched to LS (poe2.ninja) and yet just a few hours earlier posted on YT how great his gas arrow build was. What a guy.

I had the most fun in POE2 0.2.0 no joke, way more fun than temporalis autobomber. I was a little worried people would stop playing in droves, but hopefully builds like this will keep this patch alive.

BTW this is by no means a broken build, this is what GGG wanted you to figure out. Broken stuff would be: invoker who deleted the 3rd floor sanctum boss in literally 1 sec in a 5-man. That is 10-mil dps easy. Like you port in, enter room, get the usual "wait here" message, and before you can blink "THE EXIT HAS OPENED". The boss died faster than it takes for you to pay him the 10 exalts. So there's even more secret OP shit out there. And #1 ladder is a ritualist who keeps his profile private.

it works fine in SSF without lycosidae

for single target just use primal strike with a perma shock pet

it's pretty good, frenzy charge generation isn't even neccessary once you get to a certain damage threshold where you kill packs with a basic volt LS

Yeah I never used lycosidae.

I just discovered primal strikes too man, holy that thing hits HARD on shocked enemies.

I'm also testing crown of eyes with a 100% spell damage focus. I think some of the monk builds are levering this item not sure.

How is 500 acc on spear equal to 500-500 added phys damage? Penetrate says its 25% of the accuracy of the weapon, so should be 125...?
