[crash] STEAM - POE 1 - game crashes while on loading screen after entering shaper's realm

i am 2 portals down. this happens after entering the portal to shaper's realm. while in the loading screen, i can hear shaper's dialog playing but the game crashes abruptly(about 5-6 seconds after loading screen shows). this might be related to the "loading to other player's hideout" crash which behaved similarly.
