Game crashed after entering Clearfell

The game crashes every time I try to enter Clearfell. I saw in the known bugs list that there's an issue with the game crashing on DX12, but unfortunately, I'm experiencing the same problem even when using Vulkan. The issue started appearing after the 0.2.0 update.

I wanted to play as a witch, but after entering Clearfell from the first area, the game crashed. Now, every time I try to log in with that character, the game crashes immediately. I thought it might be related to my mobs, so I created a second character-a ranger-but she also crashed a second after entering the town.

P.S. I decided to create this thread even though I managed to fix the issue myself, in case anyone else is dealing with the same annoying error and wants to try my solution.

Changing the graphics settings didn’t help at all — the game kept crashing on every character. I figured that since the new update introduced so many changes, something might have gone wrong during the process. So I verified the game files on Steam, and it turned out that over 50 files were corrupted or incorrect. Steam automatically fixed the issue by redownloading the necessary files. Since then, the game has been working perfectly.

It seems that some files might be duplicated or corrupted after the update, which causes the crashes. A full reinstall of the game would probably solve the problem as well.
