Undo boss and trial-rooms 90°-clockwise-rotation
Although maps are pseudorandomly generated, there were some fixed core-room orientations that have been switched around (mostly rotated clockwise by 90°)
For instance: - the act 1 boss "Candlemass" used to always be in the top-right corner of the screen, now it's in the bottom-right. - The act 3 boss, "Zicoatl" used to be in the top-left, now it's in the top right. This has three negative consequences: - some boss animations really lost their flavor. For instance Zicoatl's death animation when he's reaching for the large ruby is lost when you see him from behind now. - Player's ruby-placing animations are offset and look clunky. - Some fights are much weirder to fight now when the bosses' initial position moved from the top half of the screen to the bottom half of the screen: the trapezoid camera angle really favors having the bosses in the top-half of the screen. Please undo the room rotations. I imagine your goal was to make it feel a little different, but this didn't turn out as you imagined. Last bumped on Apr 10, 2025, 6:27:37 PM

In act 4 I had Candlemass in top-right. This means that this was either changed or it's not 100% a rule.
However, I had met this boss about 7-8 times in the first league, and it was always in the top-right. Same for all boss rooms and other "landmark-ish" rooms. It not being there during act 1 was very strange. |

I have a feeling this was stealthily fixed :)
I saw no more clunky gem-placing animations, I think all rotations were undone. |
