Tactician "Polish that Gear" - Bug Report ID: #2745210743

Tactician Ascendancy Node is bugged and does not provide it's supposed value

Having 1006 threshold prior to ascending and 1687 after means I gained 681

evasion: 2373 (estimated chance to evade 42%)
old total: 1006
new total: 1687
threshold gained: 1687 - 1006 = 681
evasion rating%: (681 / 2373) * 100 = 28,697%
That value makes no sense to me

Expected threshold: 1006 + 2373 = 3379
value if it was %inc equal to chance to evade: 1006 * 1,42 = 1428
(tho the wording is for FLAT not for %)

I'm fairly certain that my char has no %increase ailment threshold, tho maybe I am overlooking something. (Did pick stun threshold in A3 quest and see no highlighted nodes in tree)

This is thus far one of the biggest disappointments for me this season. One of the main reason why I decided to go Tactician was to have a way to deal with stuns/ailments.

Also, I cannot find any information for stun threshold. Might be bugged as well.

I can second this. Noticing the same thing. The wording clearly states "100% of Evasion Rating" so one would certainly expect the entirety of your evasion rating stat added to Ailment threshold but this is not what's happening according to the UI.

I've tested increasing my evasion rating with a few nodes on the tree and doing so did not alter the Ailment Threshhold stat.

I have noticed I dont seem to ever get stunned or affected by ailments so I'm hoping behind the scenes this is working and it's just a UI bug.

Also, as OP mentioned there doesn't seem to be anywhere to see your Stun Threshold. This really should be added.

evasion: 2373 (estimated chance to evade 42%)
old total: 1006
new total: 1687
threshold gained: 1687 - 1006 = 681
So your base evasion rating is 681, and "Polish that Gear" gives 100% of it as extra ailment threshold.

2373 is your total evasion rating. "Gain as extra" is calculated from the base value.

i'm afraid you are right. So i have an ascendancy that is supposed to solve stun/ailments for me. And i still have less stun/ailment threshold than i would have had last season without that ascendancy. Damn. That one hurts.
Not having to deal with that bullshit was one of the reason i went tactician.
Yes, it's going off before increases to defenses, but at least it is increased by threshold modifiers, unlike the 8% of Eva Rating as extra Armour, which simply doesn't scale with anything.

I think the problem is that it is balanced around the weak ailment/stun nodes on the tree, like Strong Chin and Insulated thread, which might provide 300 of each on a good day. So if they decided this ascendancy should be worth about 5 passives, and they looked at those, I can see how they thought that this was fine...

But obviously, it's not, and the small passive before it (12% inc ar/eva) doesn't even interact with it.
