Progression feels terrible?
I just feel that the game in its current state is rather hard to enjoy,
the campaign being harder then before isnt the biggest issue imo though, just that the progression feels extremely slow or non existent at all at times, drops are terrible, risk vs reward feels like a 1 on a 1-10 scale, boss fights have become abominable just because you often get cc'd to shit now 2-3 sec freezes and the like , that just feels very punishing when your running around in the campaign with non optimized gear, everyone can make of it what they will, but i personally don't want to play an ARPG to get punished by it at every turn i ,if i wanted that i would go and play dark souls which even has better risk vs reward than this currently has. what GGG says about wanting their game to be more accessible for casual players is completely opposite with what they did this patch, a lot of the people i know have quit playing after a couple of hours , feeling very disgruntled about the game. which i can understand completely , i have played poe1 for 10k+ hours and put in around 650 hours so far in poe2 , so i think its safe to say that of those 650 hours the last 20 or so hours i played in this new patch were not enjoyable at all for me, and a bunch of other players and streamers alike. Now don't get me wrong Poe2 can still become the G.O.A.T for me, but just not in the direction they are taking it right now. Obviously its still in early acces and alot of stuff had to be nerfed/balanced , but when the balancing tends to revolve around nerfing anything and everything to the ground just to make weaker things like armour/life for example to come out better , then it's a different story, for example: why would you nerf flameblast? or hexblast? true, they had huge scaling potential but now they are basically unusable and extremely clunky to play , they just became fillers for the gem pool. Sometimes i wonder who is responsible for the testing, and i would really want them to show us how,according to them this game has to be played/experienced and how to get fullfillment/enjoyment out of it cause clearly me and alot of the people that i know who play it are playing it wrong and are therefore not getting enjoyment out of it. i don't feed any difference in the game. feels the same whether it's 0.2 or 0.1.
my dps lowered by about 30% to 40% in 0.2 that's about it. 34pre98qua

As of the latest patches and changes, i feel like i have to revise my opinion,
I think they did some good changes in general, and the experience ive had in end game the last days has been a lot more enjoyable, i have the feeling that the monster/player balance is in a way better state now, only the shitty drops is the thing im still a bit on edge about, but hopefully upcoming patch will fix this, cause loot is the single most important thing in any arpg and we arent getting enough of it xD. |
