Companion bug that prevent me from leveling up

After I realized that I could summon a companion for free using weapon 2 I kept
playing. But when I level up I could no longueur distribute skill point.

Details:

In POE 2 I made a summoner witch. I wanted to try the companion skill so I selected dexterity nodes for my weapon slot 2 to reach 60 dex and then equipped a buckler that give me +18 dex in my weapon 2 slot. Then I got a companion and turn it on with my weapon 2 equipped to see what it looked like but the companion didn't spawn. So I gave up and switch back to weapon 1. As soon as I switched weapon, the companion spawned and reserved zero spirit so I was hyped and kept playing. After leveling up I realized that I could no longueur distribute skill point to my skill tree. There is now a red message in the skill tree saying that I'm missing 40 ish dex when I'm on weapon 1. When I switch to weapon 2 the message disappear but I till can not distribute the level up point.
