Multiple Copies of Vanishing Dye Cannot Be Used
I have 4 copies of Vanishing Dye that I purchased years ago in PoE 1.
PoE 2 will only let me use one copy. When I try to put a second copy on a different item slot, instead of using one of the 3 unused copies, it instead removes the already in use copy. Thus instead of being able to hide my helm, body, gloves, and boots, I can only hide one of those. Last bumped on May 25, 2025, 1:29:20 AM

Same issue for me. I submitted a ticked to them about it but it's probably very low on their list of priorities. Like seriously, no one thought "what if people have more than one?".

I would also like to rise that problem that multiple copies of the same mtx that we paid for cannot be used. I can imagine this problem reappearing if the charm skins come live. This might also be a problem if someone has more than one copy of the same pet twice - need testing from someone because from the available mtx's i don't have any other duplicates yet.
Still, would love vanishing dye fixed. |

I would love to see this fixed as well, I generally use 2 for hats and gloves (and sometimes footwear). Whenever you have the spare time.

" Assigning two of the same pet is still broken, but in a different way. In 0.1.0, trying to equip two of the same pet (when you have two copies available) would simply de-equip the first pet and re-assign it to the second slot. Now, in 0.2.0, trying to equip the second pet slot with the same pet will remove it from the first slot and not apply it to the second. Trying to select the same pet again is seemingly interpreted as a remove action, despite selecting a different pet slot. We'll get there, eventually ... Please test more thoroughly, GGG. Thank you for bringing over a few more pet mtx. Keep them coming! | |
is this still a thing or it's been fixed?

This is about duplicate pets, not vanishing dye -- in case this wasn't what you were asking about (sorry if not I got sidetracked by my own post about the similar pet problem).
It seems to be partially fixed, but still broken in the current patch (just re-tested). TLDR: It works now if both of the pets are already free, but if not you still have to manually log into at least one other character to remove that pet, first. Let's say I have two copies of Gothic Child pet. - If both pets are unused, I can now assign both of them to a single POE2 character successfully (I could not previously). - If only one of the pets is unused (one is assigned to either a POE2 or POE1 character), I can assign the free copy of the pet, but trying to assign the second one to the other slot simply de-equips the first pet as if I had told it to clear the other slot (this is despite selecting a different slot on either the paper doll or the pet slots above the MTX). The UI seems to be confusing this case with re-selecting the same pet for the same pet slot, which is treated as a clear request. - If BOTH of the pets are currently already assigned elsewhere, I can typically only re-assign one of them to a single character in POE2, whether or not they were currently assigned to POE2 or POE1 characters and whether or not they were assigned to different characters before re-assignment. I get to choose which one for the first pet, but trying to set the second clears the first and leaves me with no pets as above. - Assignment of both pets tends to work correctly in POE1 in all cases. Where both are currently assigned, it asks you where to remove it from (or from which game). When assigning the second pet, it doesn't provide removing the first pet from the same character as an option. Last edited by Pehr#3739 on May 25, 2025, 1:31:49 AM
