Help with auras
I’m trying to get to level 80 for first time and I’m in Act 4 now. This is the farthest I’ve ever gotten in the campaign. I say that to give you an idea of my knowledge level of the game. I’m at like the pre-school level but I’m always curious. I’m running a poison concoction build and right now using Herald of Agony and Grace auras. One reserves 50% mana and the other uses 25%. But Grace on my skill bar is kind of greyed out and says not enough mana. But I have my UI set to show auras in the upper left and it shows the Grace aura as active.
I’m trying to understand whether the aura is active or not and how to increase my available mana or decrease the mana required so I can run these auras. There are some other auras for the build too and I’m not sure how I’m supposed to be able to run them all. I’d appreciate any help or suggestions. Last bumped on Apr 2, 2025, 11:09:20 PM

Looking at your screenshots shows that your Grace aura IS active. The icon on your skillbar has a twirly effect on it that only appears when the aura is active. Just ignore the "not enough mana" - it is active.
Edit: Are you following a build guide? I have a PConc Pathfinder in Standard league using The Devouring Diadem to help with aura costs. Fiona McFopdoodle - my profile is open if you want to have a peek :) 😹😹😹😹😹 I do not and will not use TFT. Gaming Granny :D 🐢🐢🐢🪲🪲🪲 Last edited by xjjanie#4242 on Apr 2, 2025, 6:57:37 PM

You can also see if your evasion increases when you activate your aura by pressing 'C' in the defense tab.
For mana efficiency, you can use notables like Charisma, which gives you: 16% increased Mana Reservation Efficiency of Skills, or use the Enlighten Support gem (rare and expensive). |

I am not sure but ...
Maybe the "not enough mana" means you haven't enough mana to activate it a 2nd time or a fist time with the current mana. Think it's just a "technical" warning which makes more sense e.g. for summoning a golem. There you don't get mana if your current golem dies. |

Can't see image and the greyed out icon, but you should be able to see if you're mana is reserving 75% by the values on you mana. The settings for this have some variables, but they show the reserved/unreserved values. POB is also a good way of checking this and checking how different changes will alter your available mana pool, before you make the changes.
Some support gems, and some other factors, interact with auras and will increase the amount of mana they reserve. However, I do not see this on your build currently. If you do need extra mana, your tree is connecting to the charisma wheel and it is quite a strong wheel. There is also 12% mana reservation efficiently available in mana mastery, which you are also close to, on the thrill of battle wheel. Usually auras you are using are not greyed out out when using them, they have a sort of active circle on them and you can toggle them on and off if you want to. One thing maybe to check is if you have a second grace skill gem somewhere. I also don't see that on your build, but in that case the second one might be greyed out. Grace also can have a vaal version, which would possibly be greyed out if you did not have the souls to use it, but I only see a regular version on your build. Getting all those near by mana efficiency nodes might allow you to add in another aura, it's probably best to check in POB if you do not have regrets orbs to undo it or are aren't following a build guide. There are a lot of other factors for mana that will come into play with your build on how much unreserved mana is enough for it to function. Lowering mana cost, increasing mana recovery and flasks are some of them. Some builds can function without any mana by lowering skill cost to 0 or transferring mana cost to life or es cost. |
