Will the Atlas reset fix dead ends and/or add paths across rivers and mountains?

My atlas is plauged with dead ends... but not only that, along with mountains and rivers with no paths leading across them. Forcing me to go way out of my way to reach a citadel on the other side of said mountains or rivers. My worse experience was trying to reach a copper citadel that was across a river ( 2 nodes away) on the west side only to find that traveling south down the river eventually made the path turn east. I needed to go west. Going north was blocked by mountains completely.. 30+ nodes spent for nothing trying to reach an area 2 nodes away from initial starting point. It seems there is alot of areas in the atlas that will bring you into open pit areas as well, surrounded/circled by rivers and mountains, forcing you to back track. I feel rivers and mountains should have a path across every few nodes, sometimes you got to travel over 50 nodes to cross one. Idk.. just seems silly.
