Am I the worst Poe2 player in the world? What am I doing wrong?
|
I just checked my played time, and it's at 450hrs. At this point I've only cleared Xehst T4. I don't have any points in any other league mechanics. I have only 6 divs. At one point I had about 17, but bought gear and a few other items, but basically I'm broke in today's economy. I used to die a lot, l've gotten better. I'm a level 94 monk. What can I do better in the next league to not be so broke?

You wont understand what you have learned until you start the new league. You will be amazed how much faster you will get to the same point you are now with the experience you have gained. And that is what this game gives you, a league lets you learn in 400 hours then in next league because you have experience you might do the same in 200 hours and get an extra 200 hours of pure profit.
Most veteran players can do campaign and atlas stuff pretty quickly. I think i was done my first pinnacle boss in about 35 hours of game time, and that is slow compared to no life players. But, you will get there. You learn what to look for, what not to pick up, what to sell early, and what you should be focusing on at the end of campaign/early maps. Youll progress quicker and quicker. Dont worry you are doing fine. |

As far as making money, the biggest thing if you're not doing it....trading. I think in more than any ARPG i have played, making money in this game is about trading. People need things to be able to craft, run maps, do higher stuff. You can be a supplier and make money by farming and selling the most popular things people use. So, if you're not doing it....get into Trading.

Very true. 95% of an endgame players income comes from trading.
A big misconception of new players is that seasoned players and streamers are just getting raw divine drops on the ground non-stop, yes they get them when they are super juicing content but the buildup to that is selling gear and jewels and tablets and everytthing else to slowly build up the currency to make an insane character that can do the super juiced content to get the even better drops. |

" I've tried. But trading seems so weird for lack of a better term. For example, in the global trade chat, I see people selling a jewel or breach ring for 50-60 divs. I have listed similar items for 1-2 divs and I'm not getting any buyers. Now, maybe the items they are selling are slightly better, but only by a little bit. But prices seem bonkers and I feel like the gear I've listed is just not getting any takers unless I list it for exhalts and not divs. I wonder if these sellers who advertise actually get the prices they want. |

Another question I had, and maybe it's for a different thread, but do ppl reforge gear? Let's say I have 3 expert slicing quarterstaffs but they are all just not great. Either don't have great mods or don't have great rolls for good mods. If I reforge them, it generally ends up worse in both categories. Is it better to just disenchant and move on or keep reforging in the hopes to hit something good?

" 2 points: 1. the item your listing even though its "slightly" different is possibly way worse. example. a triple attribute breach ring that is max rolled is incredibly expensive. even having 1 non-attribute dramatically reduces the price and it probably is that kinda of difference of 60div down to 2-5 div. The price of perfect in POE is extremely relevant. 2. Yes those guys rarely are actually getting that price for the item. Just list your item in your stash for what you think its worth. if it doesnt sell in a day if in game time then reduce the price and keep going until it sells. If you put something up and you get 10 messages in 2 minutes then relist it for a higher price. I almost never sell something to the first whisper unless more than an hour has past or i deliberately undercutted the market because i need the currency. |

" reforging is a meme, they are adding recominators in the next patch which are by far better. keep and eye out for single perfect rolls on a piece of magic or rare gear, like the highest phys damage a piece can possibly roll, those items will be bought by people trying to recomb insane gear. but they wont go for much but 10-20ex at a time is a great way to get currency slowly. |
|
" Reforging is an absolute sh*tshow. I feel like I waste time and stash area trying it again and again. Probably gonna stop doing that. |

I reforge tablets that are garbage to see if I can get something good but other than that i dont touch it
