When will true 2 player couch co-op be available?

I bought early access for myself and also for my son, but 2 player is only allowing to be done via a single account.

That means, both created characters reside under the single account, not to mention... I spent an extra $60 for no real good reason.

Can you provide some feedback about this being updated, please?

I guess I am alone in this?

You’re definitely not alone on this one. Of the mountain of couch co-op issues, this has to be the top one. My game time is 100% dedicated to playing with my wife and we were very excited to finally be able to play a POE game, but the shared account experience is such a QoL drain for a variety of reasons. I’m no data miner, but the shared inventory and shared gameplay feels like we are getting the loot drops of a single player when we are playing together. I readily admit it could be perception. The fact that Ritual store remains broken effectively takes away an entire game mode from us as well.

There are quite a few sharing this sentiment in third-party discussion forums, etc (Reddit as an example) as well.

We’ve been loving the game overall and don’t miss that other game that we used to play together at all, but I don’t know if my wife will hold out with this one if this one singular problem isn’t resolved at some point. Some perspective on this would be welcome, even if it isn’t news we would necessarily like. Console players generally don’t get much love in the livestreams and interviews.
